Sydney Rain Water Tanks

Tankworx delivers rainwater tanks to Sydney and surrounding suburbs.

Installing a rainwater tank in your Sydney home helps to save drinking water and manage stormwater run-off.

NSW Health advises using water collected in rainwater tanks for non-drinking uses, such as flushing toilets, washing cars and clothes, watering gardens, filling swimming pools, spas and ornamental ponds and fire fighting. Rainwater can also be used in hot water systems.

The Sydney Water rainwater tank rebate has been extended until 30 June 2001. If you are applying for a rainwater tank rebate, you must book an audit inspection with a licensed plumber and a Sydney water inspector for any installations connected to toilets, washing machines or those that are topped up from or interconnected to Sydney Water's water supply.

A tank inspection fee is not required for rainwater tanks installed under BASIX, however Sydney Water may inspect these installations as part of the standard plumbing inspection. No rebate will be paid for tanks installed under BASIX. For more information see the BASIX explanation.
